" I would describe myself more as a listener. The process is mysterious because it springs literally 'out of the blue'.  It begins with a thin layer of ultramarine blue, painted at random and moved around the canvas with a wide brush, painting rags and bare hands. No design intent, no story. Layer on layer, I 'listen' for where to place the next mark of the palette knife.. An image emerges and, with it, the meaning of the image and its symbols. From three shades of red, purple, two blues, two yellows and titanium white all colours come The prism is represented in infinite variety."
